| MASTERING |
| During the Mastering phase, the 'glass master' is etched by a laser. The tracks created contain the bits of information that will comprise the content of the CD or DVD. The glass master is then immersed in a galvanic bath to form the real master, which will then be used on the presses for the in-series manufacture of CDs and DVDs. Before replication is allowed to commence, painstaking checks are made on the electrical and optical properties of the plates. |
